What started as a simple plan quickly became the beginning of forever.

On January 20, 2024, Felicia picked Courtnee up, yes in a work truck, a detail we still laugh about. The plan was simple: coffee first, then a stroll through a farmers market. What we didn’t plan was spending hours sitting, talking, laughing, and completely losing track of time. Eventually, Felicia had to drop Courtnee off at home so Courtnee could head to work, neither of us ready for the day to end.

From that moment on, we were inseparable. Even when Felicia left the following weekend for a snowboarding trip, we stayed constantly connected. Despite Felicia not being much of a texter, she couldn’t help but want to talk to Courtnee and keep the conversation going. The connection was simply undeniable.

What followed was a relationship built on genuine connection, shared laughter, and the comfort of knowing you’ve found your person and your best friend.

Nearly a year and a half later, Courtnee planned a proposal that Felicia never saw coming. While visiting Georgia, Courtnee’s family arranged what Felicia believed was simply a family photo session with a photographer who also happened to be Mike’s childhood friend.

True to form, Felicia happily took charge. Being the Type A planner she is, she immediately stepped in to coordinate outfits and details, naturally delegating and making sure everyone looked their best, completely unaware of what was actually unfolding.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, subtle chaos was underway. On the day we landed in Georgia, Courtnee quietly slipped the ring box into her mom Liz’s work bag. During the photo session, Mike discreetly passed the ring back to Courtnee, a moment Felicia somehow didn’t notice at all.

As the proposal drew closer, Courtnee’s nerves were building, though Felicia remained completely oblivious. The photographer gently guided us through poses, carefully positioning Courtnee just behind Felicia. Felicia kept turning to wrap her arms around Courtnee, while Courtnee nervously worried Felicia might feel the ring box hidden in her back pocket.

Then, in the most perfect and unexpected moment, Courtnee asked Felicia to marry her.

Now, as we begin our next chapter as Cobb Duran, we’re so excited to celebrate our love in Cancún, surrounded by sun, sand, and the people who mean the most to us. Getting married on the beach feels like the perfect way to honor our story and begin our forever.
